Requirements to take the APGAI Assessments

The requirements for taking the APGAI qualifications are designed to ensure that candidates have a reasonable level of practical experience as qualified instructors, in addition to completing a practical examination of their technical skills and knowledge. The examinations are exacting in their nature and candidates will be required to demonstrate and teach each required cast without faults. In addition candidates will be required to demonstrate faults and how they are rectified. Each syllabus describes all the requirements in detail.

Please note that candidates must hold a qualification in the same discipline/s as the examination/s being applied for. Also it is a requirement that such qualification has been held for a period of at least one year.

Candidates require to have completed an application form and have had the application accepted. The Examination fee is also required to have been paid.

List of Requirements

  • Candidates will require to have held a recognised qualification for a period of at least 1 year, in the discipline being appied for.
  • Recognised qualifications are currently: - Level 2 CCA, STANIC, SGAIC, GAIC
  • Candidates must be paid up members of GAIA.
  • A completed application form (accepted by GAIA) and payment of examination fees
